Staying at the Red Ruby apartment in downtown Torshavn was the best decision for our visit to Faroe Islands! Having a home base to come back to each evening after exploring other islands was wonderful. We felt like locals in the middle of everything, a true part of every day living. The apartment was clean, welcoming, and the perfect size for a week stay. The kitchen and laundry were utilized often and so beneficial for keeping costs down by buying groceries and washing clothes that were a bit muddy from the day's adventures. We got to know the area and enjoyed nightcaps at Mikkeller, Paname Cafe, and the Irish Pub. Parking was always available and near. We enjoyed waking up each morning to see the arrivals and departures from the harbor. The Faroe Islands are truly a treasure and while I suspect tourism will continue to grow, I hope those who visit will respect and honor the magic that is the Faroe Islands!

We stayed in this lovely first-floor apartment in the iconic red harbour building, and honestly loved the space itself: a cozy bedroom, bright living area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a dining room table with welcome beverages! The large windows fill the place with beautiful Faroese light, and despite being close to the marina and the old streets, it felt calm and sheltered once inside — a great base for exploring the centre on foot. Wi-Fi worked well, and linens/toiletries were all provided. Cleanliness and location were excellent throughout. Our one serious caveat: on both Friday and Saturday nights, amplified music and shouting from a nearby restaurant and a bar continued well past midnight into the early morning, clearly audible inside even with windows closed — genuinely sleep-disrupting, not just background city hum. The listing's note ("noise from city life during the weekend") seriously understates this. Wonderful apartment, just go in eyes-open about weekend nights.

You cannot beat this place if you are staying in Torshavn! It was absolutely perfect!! The location is insanely cool!! To be able to look out your windows right at the heart of the safest, most cozy “city” in the world is truly a dream come true!! My wife and I had the most incredible time staying here! Everyone is so kind and helpful in the city and treat you like you are apart of the country as long as you are respectful and kind!! The only issue with this place is that I believe it is run by an agency which means they do not respond to messages outside of business hours which made it a bit hard when we checked in later in the day. But we did call the urgent number and that worked just fine. Overall we had an incredible stay!! Highly recommend this spot to any couple wanting a romantic and full experience of Torshavn!!!

Prime location! Many popular restaurants are just a short walk away, and everything you need for daily life is nearby. Great stay overall.

The apartment is exceptionally well located, right in the harbour, in such a beautiful and picturesque house that we constantly saw tourists stopping to take photos of it — and they probably envied us a little when they realised we were actually staying there! The view from the windows over the harbour is wonderful and really adds to the experience of staying in the heart of Tórshavn. The public terrace with benches just in front of the house is a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the harbour. Several restaurants are just steps away, and the entire centre of Tórshavn is easily accessible on foot. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean and feels very new, perhaps because it has only recently been offered as a rental. It is extremely well equipped, with remarkable attention to even the smallest details. We found absolutely everything we could possibly need — even spare batteries for the computer mouse!

Beutifully renovated and cozy apartment, great location, right in the heart of Tórshavn, close to many restaurants and major sights. Has everything you need for a great stay.
