It really is a charming house! We had a comfortable and very happy stay. Everything was well prepared, and we felt welcome from the beginning. We would gladly come back.

The cottage sits in beautiful surroundings and has a lot of charm, especially when the sun is out. Unfortunately, the interior set up didn’t quite live up to the photos. It’s significantly more worn and cluttered than the listing suggests, and everything has clearly been used for a very long time. We completely understand that this has been in one family for a century and appreciate what a lovely project it is. But the cleanliness wasn’t quite to the standard you’d hope for. Our biggest practical issue was the bed, which is only 140x200cm in a very narrow bedroom with no space on either side, making for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. The cottage is functional and the setting is beautiful, but having stayed in cheaper and far better accommodation elsewhere in the Faroe Islands, we didn’t feel it was worth what we paid.

The house itself is absolutely charming, and its location is fantastic. It’s older than it appears in the photos, but this only adds to the “cabin vibe” if you like it. The kitchen is great for cooking and the shower and toilet have been nice renovated. The location is convenient. If you prefer a more authentic, local, rustic, quiet and secluded setting, this is a solid option. The only downside is that the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all during our stay. Even local SIM cards (Foroyar Tele), which usually work fine, had significant issues, so only limited internet access was possible (weather was good). The problem could not be resolved. Another deduction goes to the unreliable communication from the rental company which is contracted for the Airbnb. Questions or concerns went completely unanswered or unacknowledged in some cases. While it's normal not to always be a solution, you should at least expect to get a response. We left a day earlier than planned.

Very clean and cozy apartment, and we could feel the love the hosts have put into it. We loved it too and loved Faroe Islands!

The cottage was homely and cosy. The location is wonderful - in the middle of fields with sheep and a beautiful view of the sea. We loved it.

This cotttage is indeed charming. It is cozy and beautifully-furnished, with a great location and lovely views. The location was perfect for expeditions to the various islands, and a grocery store was conveniently close by. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we appreciated the binoculars on the windowsill. The accommodation and linens were spotless, and the shower had plentiful hot water, which is always welcome in chilly weather. We were lucky to have lots of sunshine during our stay, but we also enjoyed watching the changes to the sky and water from our windows during the misty interludes. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others.
