Reason for 3 star is that we had made a reservation 6-months before and 4 days before our arrival they told us they had double booked and we could not stay. initially offered a location that was not even close to be comparable. We ultimately agreed to another as the dwelling itself was to our taste BUT what we booked was a very remote location. We wanted no city lights to see the Northern Lights and be in a totally peaceful location. With the 4 days we could not find a location that they managed or on AirBnB that was similar to our wants. We took the best available. When we booked 6 months before there were a few options and any of the others that we did not pick would have been better. Th place we stayed was clean, nice decor, very comfortable, and would highly recommend if you want to be in town looking at the city. They were very communicative and helpful but could Not give a 5* review because wasn’t what we rented. We visited this listing and loved it. Pity we didn’t stay there

What we love: - Located in the picturesque village of Tjornuvik. Short walk from the house to the beach. Gorgeous mountain view behind the house. Peaceful and quiet residential neighbourhood. - Spacious house to accommodate our group of 8 adults. - Front door parking space for 2 cars. - Large deck overlooking the mountains (although we couldn’t use it due to windy and rainy conditions). - Everything was clean and organized. The whole house was bright with lots of natural lights. - Large entrance foyer for keeping outdoor shoes and jackets organized. - Kitchen is well equipped with dinnerware, cooking utensils, small appliances and cleaning supplies. - Good WiFi connection. Smart TV has popular streaming apps (need your own account login). - Good communication from host detailing directions and check in procedures. - In spite of its remote location, there are two supermarkets, Magn gas station and a restaurant (Number 1 Pizza) 20 minutes away in Oyrarbakki. Gas station serves hot foods like hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries which are convenient as a grab and go lunch.

Ein unglaublich schön gelegene Villa an einem der besondersten Orte auf den Färöer Inseln. Ein sehr spezielles Erlebnis!
