I had thoroughly researched the Airbnb options and this stood out. With only four reviews, it was clearly a new listing, but my experience should reassure future guests that it is an excellent choice. I wanted a quiet base for exploring the islands, contrasting with my later stay in Tórshavn, and this contemporary, minimalist flat was perfect. Its peaceful waterside setting meant coffee on the balcony watching the waterfowl became a highlight. It was also an excellent base for exploring by car. Vestmanna's tourist centre is about a 42-minute walk away, where I booked the excellent two-hour boat trip to the nearby cliffs – absolutely not to be missed. The guide even pointed out my flat! One warning: arrive on a Sunday prepared for almost everything to be closed! There is only one evening option - Disvoy (pizza/steak) was closed both Sunday and Monday. Fortunately, there is a supermarket, so I bought a steak and cooked at the flat. Save your Faroese culinary adventures for Tórshavn!

Everything was perfect! The view from the balcony is breathtaking, and the house is cozy and clean. Vert is a great host.
